My Mom Wants to Kill Me is a short about an 8-year-old girl who relives the experiences that her mom killing her repeatedly until she accepts the truth of her mother's death.

I want to tell people that children are not as psychologically resilient as adults from this film. Children's world is very small, and events such as divorces, school bullying, or being neglected by family member may have a negative impact on their mental health. When tragedy happens around them, they may think this is because they are not good enough and they could have done better. They re-experiencing the traumatic events in their mental world. Many children force themselves to be strong because they think they should be strong. They hide their vulnerability and anxiety even when they are mentally breaking. This is the reason why kid’s psychological problems are hard to be found by adults around them.

Through this film, audiences may be able to reflect on the extent to which the rules of the real world have changed them. In order to live better in society, many people have to bow their heads to life, rely on flattery to win the favor of their superiors, and even become profit-oriented in reality. Accustomed to such a mode of existence, they will still get used to it and assimilate the younger generation.
